has anyone tried a very low calorie diet...
Question:

I'm talking about the Cambridge sole source which is 420 calories a day for a month, plus loads and loads of water. Has anyone tried it? Any results? I've done a search on here and can't find anything except slimfast which doesn;t seem to have the same scientific backing - though cambridge isn't medically proven.

Answers:

Hi thereMy friend Clare has done it and found it brilliant for her. She's lost about 2 stone in 3/4 months. She maintains her weight now by combining the cambridge food packs and healthy eating, but still does the sole source programme when she wants to lose 'extra pounds' such as after Xmas - but she'has a life' as well - so breaks from it when she feels she wants to. The counselling has been really helpful to her too. She's an ex-anorexic so didn't take the decision lightly to do this diet. The results have been superb. The counsellors also only let you do sole source if you have a BMI which shows you're overweight - and you're well monitored. If you have any questions I can ask my friend, I'm sure she'd be happy to answer any you have if she can!Go into google and type it in - you'll find their website and you can contact consellors in your area to have a chat about it too.Alx x
