Question:
Hi everyone
I'm new to posting here but have been reading and soaking up lots of info on the site for a while now!
I'm interested in studying to be an acupuncturist and was wondering if anyone could recommend a course/college to me? (I'm based in Central London)
Thanks!
Jen
Hi Jen
Welcome to the forum, not my cup of tea I am afraid putting needles into someone but hopefully someone will be able to respond to your request, have you tried typing "London acupuncture course" into a search engine to see if anything comes up?
Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply.
I've found a couple of colleges in London from the net - the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA) and the School of Five Element Acupuncture (SOFEA) and I plan to visit the colleges when their open days come round but I was hoping there might be someone out there who has done a course (or knows someone who has studied at one of the UK colleges) and who might be able to give me some insight into what they thought. :D
My friend studied at the University of Westminster and she loved it. It's a BSc degree course however and pretty much full time 3 years. I think you can do it part-time too for up to 6 years.
I am doing their MSc in Therapeutic Bodywork and their teaching is excellent.
