Question:
I see that people say they are certified practitioners etc. How does this stand with the following:

It sounds like Gary Craig doesn't recognise any certification that says someone is Certified to practice?
Hi Darren,
To be certified as a practitioner of a therapy, you must be assessed as competent to practise, and do so according to the laws of the country where you practise.
The EFT online certificates are proof that the certificate holder has viewed and understood the educational EFT video sets. They do not vouch for the person's suitability to practise on clients, especially as in the States, the institution providing the qualification can be sued if anything goes wrong.
Here in the UK, some training in EFT is also approved by organisations with strict standards, where the student has to be competent to practise. This is when EFT is learnt as a CPD add-on and the student is already a therapist who has been assessed as competent to practise their therapy.
So for instance Darren, if you have certification and Insurance for your Reiki, EFT would be an add-on to that, and then you'ld be insured to practice EFT.
Sharon.
I agree with Spinal music. I let my insurance company know that I now practiced EFT and they just added it onto my Reiki/Teaching insurance.
