Question:
Hi everyone!
I am very new to the world of crystals but find them fascinating. My question is - how many should you carry/use at one time? Also is an amethyst a good one to start with? Sorry, that was 2 questions!
Many thanks
Snow
Hi Snow :)
Welcome, lovely name by the way too :)
Amethyst is usually one of the first that people are drawn to, perhaps because its readily available, perhaps because its so pretty, and perhaps because it starts the journey to the Crystal world?
I must admit I tend to overload on crystals! For instance yesterday I was probably wearing or carrying about 10 or 12 types lol, however, today, my day off :)I have none. I will wait for a tug or whisper or call from them as to who wants to spend the day with me tomorrow :)
Sometimes people wear or carry a crystal and don't realise it is making them feel ill, that headache or shoulder pain, feeling tired or even feeling heady and dancung everywhere they can be the result of crystals!
I can remember my mum telling me aboutone ofher experiences with crystals, she was waking very early every morning and couldnt get back to sleep, full of energy and enthusiasm for the day , when she changed the sheets that week, under the bed she found a clear quartz wand pointing at her head lol energising her through the night! No wonder she woke early!
Start with one and work with it and then move to another :)
Hi Snow Crystal
I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, as long as you feel comfortable. I have a small bag I generally carry round with a whole range of tumbled stones in. However sometimes I leave it at home because it just doesn't feel 'right' to carry them all. I may pop one in a pocket though - in terms of which one, I usually go with whichever feels right.
Sorry - bit of an instinct thing. Amethyst is a lovely stone, but it depends what you want to achieve. If you're drawn to it - it's probably right for you.
I can recommend a book someone recommended to me if you're getting started on crystals - The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. I only bought my copy a week ago today and already feel very differently about them.
Love and hugs.

I agree - the best way of working with crystals is by using your instincts - carry or use what you feel drawn to & you won't go far wrong. Remember sometimes a crystal may be quite hard to work with - especially if its something we really need, but somehow we resist it :D In that case - only carry or meditate with it for short periods of time to allow your body to get used to it. I personally carry about 2 - 3 crystals a day & may also wear some jewellery...again I see what fancies being with me that day! Enjoy - the possibilities are endless!
