Hi,
I have had a Lafuma for 18 months and love it. They are very sturdy and I have never noticed a string! I think they have a guarantee anyway. My clients love it!

I don't have a Lafuma chair, but I do remember reading somewhere on these boards some time ago that Lafuma don't guarantee the chair if it has been used for reflexology, as it's sold as a very nice garden chair.

I wonder if you bought through the Oxford school of reflexology or the AOR if you would be insured.. I read something about a 17 stone limit on these chairs. I use one and I love it, I've never had a problem with the lacing, and you can buy replacements if they begin to look worn. I know that some people who have problems sleeping in beds are actually using these as an alternative cause they feel more supported and get a more restful nights sleep.

Hi Sandra,
I've had a Lafuma chair for the past few years, great bit of kit and nothing wrong with the elastic at all, but... if your clients are elderly they may find it hard to get into and out of, it can be a little to low and requires a lot more effort to get out of than you might think when your client is elderly. Over the past few months i've reverted to the couch or a pedi stool, the Darley pedi stool has worked really well for me to keep a good posture whilst working at a clients home or in a work place.
Anyone else experienced this problem? My clients just don't seem to like it much.

All my clients love the Lafuma, and I've never had any trouble with mine. I have got a Darley pedistool for very pregnant or elderly clients and I get a backache when I use it! I think I'm a bit tall perhaps. But it is very useful so I must grin and bear it...

Thanks for your replies everyone. Talking of the pedistool, I have seen pictures of these on the internet and they look pretty good too. A question about them though -do you putboth of the client's feet on the pad for treatment or only one foot at a time? Thanks.
