Hi there,
I wonder whetheranyone could kindly tell me what the basic routineto applyingday make up is? we haven't covered this on our course yet and I am eager to learn.

Hi Kate
It depends on a couple of things, for example, which products you have available and what wet / dry products you are using.
But here goes with the best I can ..
Skin brighteners / moisturisers
Line fillers or skin smoothers
some people start with colour concealers - green for redness / purple for sallowness
foundation
further concealing of spots / blemishes and also under eye dark circles
once base is complete if you aren't using cream blush or eye shadow use translucent powder to set the base now
eyes next,
if you want a strong eye liner line it can be better to apply the liner before and after the shadow as it goes on the skin better and creates depth
use your shadows now - above the eye first and then under (if req)
you may now use or go back to eye liner
curl lashes now if manual curlers
mascara
curl lashes now if heated curlers
powder or cream blusher - cream is almost always more natural
lip liner
lip stick
highlighting
if you haven't already - set the base now with powder
gloss
