Question:
Hey,
I'm after a bit of advice. I've recently decided to start shaving my head (nothing too drastic - varies between 3 - 6mm in length) which is a lot shorter then before - see piccy. Means I can't colour it, but it is a lot cheaper!
The problem I've got at the moment is my eyebrows - they look a bit Dennis Healy. I recently had them plucked and tidied up at the Virgin Revivals lounge at Heathrow - much to the excitement of the girls there, a boy getting his eyebrows plucked was quite unusual apparently.
So i'm after a bit of advice - what would be the best way of having them trimmed and tidied. Can anyone recomend a therapist in the Wolverhampton / Birmingham city centre area too.
Thanks

I don't actually think there is anything wrong with your eyebrows. but then it is a small pic, and hell I know what it's like to feel self-conscious about something.
First of all, I'm in Scotland, so I don't have a clue about recommending a therapist.
Secondly, all I was told to do at the college was to brush the eyebrows up/down and trim away any hairs that 'stuck out'.
I'm sure other people with have other methods, and it'll be interesting to see what they say, because it's not something I personaly get asked a lot :)
Hi
I think your eyebrows look ok too they dont seem to be joining in the middle. You could have an eyebrow wax to define the shape a little but I would get them just to take anything above the nose in between the natural shape of your eyebrows and perhaps a very tiny few from the underneath alternatively this can be done with tweezers too. plenty of famous men have their eyebrows shaped but it doesnt have to look obvious. Try doing a search for your local beauty salon most salons do eyebrow shapes if not all of them.

Thanks guys!!
Your comments appreciated. I think as long as I keep them in trim with a few regular trips to a lovely salon then i should be cool.

Hi Fozzyo
Your eyebrows look OK to me but if it's any help I pluck my hubbies inbetween the brows - they don't meet so there's not many to pluck. Then I comb each brow upwards and trim the long hairs over the comb. That seems to keep them tidy. :) Now his ears and nose are another matter!![:'(]
Lovely!
Again I tent to agree with the others your brows dont look that bad but was the photo took before or after your first plucking session?
If it helps I myself am mobile or salon based in Darlaston not more than 5-10 min from W'ton (the salon is Darlas-Tan and I'm called Angel Eyes By Charlie).
Good luck with what ever you decide

Male grooming is becoming far more popular these days.
There are many salons who will provide male eyebrow trims or eyebrow waxing.
I am a level 2 Beauty student and was on my work experience at a salon last week and this guy came in for a eyebrow wax, which seems more popular than tweezing, but you will probably find a therapist may use a mixture of waxing and tweezing to get them right.
Look in the yellow pages or your local directory and give any of the salons a ring and make enjuires. Or pop into your town centre salon next time your on a shopping trip.
;):D
Mine are permanently in a state...I should maybe shave them off completely and start again...hehehe :D

Foz,
I have mine threaded and find that the growth is less than having it plucked or waxed. Waxing causes me to get loads of spots. With threading they can be done to perfection. Birmingham will have lots of Indian therapists who offer this.
I hope that this helps
