Making a living out of Reflexology
Question:

I am moving to S.A. in a few weeks time and I am hoping to start my reflexologydiploma in January. What i am interested to find out is if my partner and i decide to come back to London in the future do you think it is possible to make a good living out of it over here?
Thanks very much

It is definitely possible to make a good living being a Reflexologist (think about it, £25+ an hour can't be bad!) but it's just a matter of marketing yourself effectively and consistently to get those clients through the doors!
Take a look at the Business & Marketing forum on here for ideas on how to promote yourself and make your business a success.

Im from Northern Ireland and am a reflexologist and Indian head massuer - I was hoping to have my own practice at this stage but unfortunately im still working in an office. I find that most beauty salons now have these therapies over here which make it harder for people liek my self who only specialise in 2 or 3 therapies, have no premises and have to fit clients in after work (takes me an hour to get to work and home from work each day) im trying my best to extablish myself but constantly find myself pushed up against a brick wall - maby if i met a big rich husband he would help set me up :0) but at 29 and a single female still living at home I doubt i would even put up with one. LOL
I wish you evey success when youQualify Reflexology and I hope you have better luck at tring to set up in business that im having at the moment.
Kind Regards

Hi
The best step I made in gaining a full time therapy practice was to reduce my days in the old profession from 5 to 3. I then used the 2 days that I had made available, to build up my practice until I jumped into it full time a year later.
I realise that you may not be able to do this as we all have different circumstances. Have you considered making Saturday a dayfor therapy practice and once you become fully booked there, you may feelmore confident about your next step.
Doing it all in the evenings sounds like a hard slog. If what you are doing is not getting you to where you want to be then you need to change something.
Best wishes
