Hello Sarah
A lot depends on the reflexologist's training, knowledge and experience. Now I've taken Maternity Reflexology training I'm happy to treat a client from the word go (and let's face it not everyone knows they are pregnant in those first few weeks, so we may be treating someone who's pregnant without realising it), whereas prior to that I treated from 12 weeks as per my training. Going on that course made me feel a lot more confident as a reflexologist, as well as a bit more competent and knowledgeable of pregnancy. I think that's what really made the difference for me, the confidence bit I mean. I'd say, be guided by your own training, knowledge and experience and work within your own competence as you would do with all your clients.

I agree with Siobhan. I used to only treat after 12 weeks but with extra experience and training and now treat throughout pregnancy. Also after Suzanne Enzer's seminar at the weekend I am more confident to work the foot in its entirity during pregnancy and not avoid the uterus point - after all it is just performing a *natural* function so what harm can reflexology do?! :)
