Question:
Hi...anyone ever worked with or heard of Spider Jasper stone?. Its a brown stone with like little spider shaped imprints all over. The person selling it won't actually have another one for another month or so. Not much on the net about it...maybe it goes by other names?. I'd love to know how to work with this stone.

Hmm interesting, It could be a new sort of jasper coming out onto the market, but there are soooooooooooo many jaspers out there. I hope you have not been duped, maybe if you could post a picture on here so we could all have a look.

Hi...thanks for reply.. below is a good example....the stone you see is probably reddish brown...but if you can see it has those little spider like imprints...

Now that is very interesting
When I tuned into it I saw sun`s not spiders[sm=nature-smiley-008.gif] But this is my own interpratation.

Thats a viable perspective...I might as well say also sparks if I saw it before I found out it said Spider Jasper. In any case thats what they call this type I guess..there are others like Spiderweb Japser..and Spiderman Japer....maybe not looking like spiderwebs but kind of veiny lines here and there. Anyways thanks for taking a look.

Hi I think that piece looks more like the aptly named 'Chrysanthemum stone' ? Thats a jasper too, but then most stones are jaspers really lol. They are all abstract or dendritic jaspers and form part of the Picasso group, for obvious reasons. To be honest there are so many names because there are so many mining areas that its hard to keep up, but they all have very similar properties.
