Question:
i just had a moldavite pendant anyone know about this stone in the crystal healing bok it says the stone needs grouding??
This is a stone I have not had much to do with so I cheated and googled. This is one of many sites I came accross, so I would definitley recommend googling and researching it yourself.
Quite an interesting stone! (from google and very brief - there is a lot out there about the stone:)
Recent work has suggested that moldavites are all of the same age (14 million years old) and were formed by the solidification of blobs of molten rock that were ejected into the atmosphere when a meteorite landed and formed the Ries crater at Nordlingen in southern Germany.
Moldavites and other glassy rocks believed to have formed in the same way are collectively known as tektites. Other examples are bediasites from Texas, USA and indochinites from east Asia.
Hi Kev :)
Moldavite is a very heady feeling, if it calls to you then you will know what I mean. It has a very strong aura and can cause you to feel lightheaded and dizzy which is why many recommend you use it carefully and with a grounding stone like hematite or smokey quartz or boji stones at your feet to ground you into this reality. Some people hate moldavite with a vengeance because it can make them feel travel sick lol, but if you can embrace the feeling of high speed, and astral travel and lots of hyper brain activity then this stone is great! Try placing it over your head on your Soul Star Chakra and see if you get a different feeling
Sadly there is lots of fake moldavite out there :( heat treated green glass, but a piece of the real thing will open new areas to you physically and spiritually :)
Hi there i have a piece and had to stop wearing at night - as i either couldnt sleep, or it woke me up!!!
absolutley lovely stone though - see earlier threads as its been under dsicussion before love oggs
I know exactly what you mean.
I met Moldavite in Wells nr. Glastonbury. I was in the crystal shop and was given (to look at) the only piece in the shop that hadn't been turned into jewellery. I cupped my hands around it and let the energy flow and it nearly knocked me off my feet. A definite Wow! but because of the price I didn't purchase it then. I went back to our campsite and I just couldn't get it out of my head so in the morning (when we were due to be leaving to go further south on our hols) I took a detour and drove all the way back to Wells to buy it.
It's one of my favourite crystals (alongside the boji stones and mochi marbles) and I love to use it when meditating. I also have a piece of "white moldavite" about the same size which is really elestial calcite but just goes by that name. As mentioned above, they're all of the tektite family but only the green moldavite comes from the one specific river location in moldavia.

I couldn't wear Moldavite for more than 5 mins at a time, and it was suggested that I carry a Tektite to help me accept the moldavite. I did for about 3 weeks, and now I can work with Moldavite quite well.
My dog also loves Moldavite, she will lick my pendant at every opportunity, but pretty much ignores all others!
Of all the stones / crystals, I feel the most energy from Moldavite and Hematite.
Anyone else has a simialr experience?

I adore moldavite too and like Giles am a bit of a Boji junkie (Along with my shiva) when I use the two in conjunction with one another I find them to be exceptionally powerful, particularly when I've meditated or done Akashic Records work. Must make more time to work with the moldavite as I find it very calming and focussing too.. gorgeous stone.
