Nails - VTCT or C&G?
Question:

I've just missed out on enrolling for the Level 2 Beauty Therapy course so I'm doing the individual courses - Manicure & Pedicure and Makeup this September then False nails and Waxing in January.
Which would you rate the best of the two? VTCT or City & Guilds. My sister rates City & Guilds, having done Manicure & Pedicure with both.
Also, if I do the eyelash tinting and perming (a one day course I believe), as well as the individual courses mentioned above - will that cover all the subjects on the Beauty therapy level 2 course - and therefore can I then call myself a Beauty Therapist?

It will all depend on who the awarding body is as to whether you will be able to call yourself a beauty therapist but you will still need to do Facial and skincare and eyebrow shaping before you will have a complete level 2. That doesn't mean you can't call yourself a therapist though as there will be areas where you are qualified.
I can't say anything for VTCT as i've not studied with them before but I did C&G NVQ's and I came out ok! They do appear to be a bit disorganised though and the test questions are really unclear. I had to resit loads of mine (and it wasn't just me it was most of the group) because they phrase things really stupidly. Considering you have to get 100% in 2 tests for C&G before you pass they don't exactly make it achievable.
