Question:
Is it wrong to try to send healing energy to the world and everyone in it? Is that morally wrong, since some of these people have not asked to be healed?
Reiki is a loving, caring healing energy. It will not impose itself on people, places or things whom and which are not ready or open for it yet.
Reiki will do what Reiki must do...

I think the world needs as much healing, love and light as it can get and all life on earth, i feel that wherever and whoever it is sent to then they decide for themselves if they need to recieve it . [sm=grouphug.gif]
That's good. I sometimes think of healing the world while I am self healing - and sometimes I automatically send Reiki when I think of bad things happening around the world. If they need Reiki they will use it, and if they don't, they won't, I suppose !:)

I do Sig, the way i do it is to visualise a shining white light encircling the world as well as sending love, Mother Earth definatly needs as much as we can send her and i thankyou for bringing this topic up and sending the Reiki to her. [sm=hug.gif]
I feel there are so many souls out there thay desperatly want & need healing but have no idea where to ask for it.
So when I send distant healing or self healing & I always ask for healing to be sent to all corners of the world & that healing be sent to all those that who want/ need healing but don't know where or how to ask for it .

I was thinking the exact same thing - particularly after watching Live8.
What do other Healers think about this? Within a specified time-frame (eg between 7pm and 10pm), we could all meditatively join hands and send healing out to the world and beyond. I, and my family, would very definitely do this and together we will make a difference !! :)

Yes, but surely it would be positive to send healing for all the damage that, afterall, we have inflicted?
Thanks Paul, ;) I believe though that Mother Earth and all her creatures need lots of Healing Love and Light, as mankind has caused much damage over the years so if as many as possible send her Love and Light it can only do Good.

I think Reiki always goes to the cause, not the symptoms -this is how it works, after all Reiki is nature too -giving back to mother earth can only do good even if it appears worse at first it is usually a sign that things will soon get better.
I know how you feel paul, but you can't worry about what other people do - they may do bad things for how they feel inside. That's just an issue they have to work through. If you do good things for people they can't help but think of you in a positive way, they are sending you positive energy which in the end is good for you, which is how karma works. If we send Reiki to the world, mother nature can't help but think positively about us, which gives us positive energies - so in the end it helps us all.

That is terrible, what happened to your mother - truely horrible behaviour. I too live in a town where vandals have got at my car and our other possessions - I am scared to go out at night - simply because I want to remain here for my kids - it's not a risk I am willing to take. But then again just getting into a car is a risk these days. I have been in many scrapes in my life due to other people - things that are too terrible to speak about on this forum, but I know what it is like to go through rough time - I am not speaking from a naive stand point here - I have experienced violence and other sad events - but I consider myself lucky because there are people out there who have had it a lot worse than me.
I choose to deal with this a different way now. My brother got beaten up by 2 people last week - I choose not to be bitter about it - it doesn't take away from the fact that it is awful and the amount of things he had to go through at the hospital is terrible, but being angry and negative about it is only going to hurt me. I can only hope that he will recover physically and mentally and be a stronger person afterwards. Healing not only helps the physical but the mental and spiritual aspects too - it can help you unravel feelings you have had bottled up for sometime - it can help you cope.
I believe bad things and evil things sometimes happen due to a negative thought in someones mind - we have discovered that sunspot activity can be in direct corralation to terrible events upon the earth - so it's not that far fetched that we ourselves due to negative thinking may cause sunspot activity or any other natural event that could spiral back into harming ourselves. This is karma also.
When we go about healing the earth it is like sending love to the earth - this is without exception - we, as healers have to have courage to heal those that have done bad things, we cannot expect them to get any better without love - and we cannot judge them for what they have done. So we have faith and we heal, we heal all, everyone everything without exception in the hope that they will learn how to be positive and learn that when they hurt someone they are hurting themselves, and when they hurt themselves, they are hurting all of us.
Have you ever read Psycho Cybernetics? It's a very good book about how to stay positive and why you should stay positive. It explains what I am trying to say a lot better.
As healers we have an obligation not to judge - of course if the people that beat up my brother came for a healing, I would have to send them to a healer that was not personally involved so they could have a better healing session, but i would make this decision for their wellbeing (not mine), and if this helped them and they never beat on anyone again then it would be worth it.
We have to remember too - that although we call ourselves healers, we are not the ones that heal - it is the healee that does the real healing, we are just the catalyst.
We need to learn how to think positively and how to help each other out instead of trampling on each other - it's the only way anything will ever change.
You are right tho, it IS all too easy to say and too hard to put into practice, but I want to try, at least. :)
