Question:
Since I turned 30ish, I've been having slight back problems. When it first occured I went to a massage therapist and she adjusted my back and man it felt good. Everything went back in place.
However, I'm getting out of place a lot these days. The only thing I can contribute it to is I work behind a desk 12/7 anymore.
I weight train and I'm quite strong, I do cardio, eat healthy...so why is my back constantly getting out of place? I keep getting this hugh knot in my lower right back too.
I don't have the time or patience for a back problem. It's also hindering my workouts which doesn't make me too thrilled either.
Any massage thereapist out there can enlighten me?
Through my experience, any unecessary muscle tension we hold is due to mental & emotional blockages. Dependant on where your problem is on your back depends on the sort of blocks you hold. Im no professional holistic massage professional but with the help of these guys on Healthy pages I think you will be able to get to the root of your back trouble.
I would like to know if you stretch your muscles-warm up & down before & after your sessions??
PEACE
Sym
Thanks for your input. It could most probably be due to emotional blockages. Not sure if stress is a factor... My clients stress me out to no end and by the time I'm done counseling them all, I Need Counseling just to vent... but, I'm never able to talk to anyone about situations and/or issues. ;) I've been working for 6 months straight with no day off... Could that be a factor? lol I have just this month forced myself to take weekends off.
I only stretch and warm up before training and I work out with weights M, W, F. I also stretch between sets and after.
Update... My last adjustment we narrowed it down to my pillow height. I got a more flat pillow and haven't had a back or neck problem sense.
I'm taking weekends off now too. Freedom!
