Sol, that is the very reason I refuse to read any of these books which contributes specific attributes to specific crystals...
I have a future with crystals, when, I am not sure, but when I start using them, I want to do it purely on intuition...

I wish you well in your learning, but you might find it difficult to learn only from intuition. As much as there are at least 50 books out there (in this subject), I don't know one that doesn't give opinions about the qualities of minerals... It is - on the other hand an equally daunting task to study lots of books and create a general opinion about the crystals' properties by taking a mean average of what different folk say. Though it's a rare thing for writers to say why they attribute a quality to a stone.
It is admirable to take a step forward using only intuition as your guide... do let us know how you progress.
