Question:
Anyone any idea what the going rate is for reiki 1 and 2 in glasgow, I've already received both but no certificate and I need it for my new job, so having to do it again

Is there no chance you can get in touch with the people who attuned you to Reiki 1/2 so that you can get a certificate? Or was it an informal attunement without certs?
I paid £150 for 1,2 and Advanced - two were done in a day, one was done over two days.

Hi, It was a years college course and I couldn't finish it due to work commitments, although I was attuned before I finished, someone said they could attune me again but for about £400 which I thought was a bit steep,

I think that's a heck of a cheek charging £400 given that you've already had the attunements and all you need is the certification, so to speak. Really hope you find something suitable soon - why not ask Reiki to help?

Just for clarification - I paid those £150 for each individual course. But those were the first time I've done them. In your case, you are attuned, even if you could not finish the course I believe that the college should give you certification on attunement.
Maybe you could get in touch with one of the official Reiki bodies to see if they have an opinion about it, as they like to see Reiki more streamlined and standardised all over UK. I'm a member of the UK Reiki Federation but there are other official bodies, too. After all, Reiki attunement is not like an average college course.
Just out of interest, how long was the course, how often did you have to attend, what qualification did they promise and what did you cover as part of the course. Just being nosey here ;)

This has been a real eye-opener for me, too:D - I didn't realise that everybody charges at different rates. Now hold onto your seat Moonfeather, a RM I know charges £950 for a Master attunement (over a course of 8 months training...) I thought I'd never do the RM because I couldn't afford it, even though I did Advanced and received the Master symbol, and with the recent threads found out that I actually am a RM just need to be taught how to teach the attunements .... don't have the certificate to show . that though.... Reading through HP has saved me a lot of money .... ( I can go on holiday after all..;))

I know of two Reiki Masters in Chester, one of them has been teaching me. Marilyn charges £100 for Reiki I (2 days), £150 for Reiki II (1 day, plus follow-ups) and £500 for Master (am told it would be one day, no info yet about any follow-ups). She has also said that she's there for me any time if I need help and over the last few months we've developed what feels like a kinship. She works one to one, which works well with me because I am partially deaf and find group work difficult sometimes.
The other one, Yvonne, charges £60 for Reiki I, £80 for Reiki II and £120 for Masters. And I'm told that in the USA it is still US$10,000 for the Masters attunements, could anybody verify that?
Big difference there. And yet.... I know full well it's nothing to do with the Reiki being 'worth more' if you pay more, far from it, but more to do with being guided to a particular master / following your intuition. I feel strongly that working with Marilyn is the right thing for me to do.
