Does anyone have any experience with this? I do not understand how this could work other than applying some heat to an acupoint.
Ah, I would have thought you'd have a good idea of this, what with all your Tai Chi, Qigong knowledge of energy.
Light is energy. Energy of different frequencies have been shown to heal different tissues within the human body.
I don't know for sure but I think this therapy is to do with applying energies to the body to assist with its healing. A sort of mechanical reiki if you like. :D
I remember once reading about a therapy that used colour and crystals in a small pen-like torch. A quartz crystal was at one end of the torch and coloured filters were put in front of it so that when it was switched on the colour would go through the crystal. This was then shone on different acupuncture 'spots'. The theory was that each colour healed on a different level and whichever one was used with the crystal would 'shout' to all the well cells and be carried across them until they met the dis-eased cells and they would recover . I found this absolutely fascinating at the time and considered training as it combined my 2 favourite healing methods, crystals and colour! But for whatever reason I never got around to it but I think it is still a feasable healing method,
