Question:
Hi, I suffer from Depression, among other things :) It has been suggested that I try acupuncture. I have my first appointment next Tuesday. Does anyone know anything about this and does it hurt :( and will it help me?
Would appreciate any feedback.

If they do it properly, and 'hit the right spot' so to speak, then yes, it hurts a little, even though the needles are amazingly thin. If the needle goes in a point that isn't relevant to your condition, you won't feel it. That's how you know that they are doing it properly. It can feel like a small electric shock, or a bruise. Once the needle's in, you may feel tingly, or it may feel warm. When I used to have it done, it used to relax me and energise me at the same time. I used to feel great after a treatment. I'm sure you'll gain some benefit from it. They may give you herbs as well.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy the experience.
