i am qualified in hopi ear candling however i havent carried out the treatment 4 about a year.
i remember how 2 carry out the treatment however i can not remember all the contra- indications.
when i did the training we did recive a booklet with all the information we needed 2 no.
i have left the booklet at my old salon and they cant find it.
im really intrested 2 start the ear candling again but i want 2 no all the ins & out & b sure i am not treating some1 who can not have the treatment.
r there any books i could by or could any1 send me some information.

The usual contra- indications to massage apply such as:
Fever,
Fractures,
Contagious skin conditions,
Pain,
Swellings,
Epilepsy,
First trimester of pregnancy.
As well as:
Perforated eardrum,
Gromments or other similar devices to drain the ear,
Inflammation of outer ear,
Client allergic to any components in the candle,
If client is taking antibiotics,
Client taking medication for ear/sinus/teeth problems,
Recent dental work,
If cochlear or hearing aid is in position.

can glue ear b treated or is this another contra- indication?
i remember it from the course.



Glue ear can be treated quite safely, as long as there aren't grommets in place.

does any1 have any notes they could send me
i have done a google search but they only give basic information
i will try and scan a copy of my certificate
