Question:
Hi, does anyone think it's a good idea to post pictures of crystals we are having trouble identifying? I have quite a few that I really don't know what they are! I've had different opinions from people also as to what some of mine are, and some of them I just can't identify in books.
Can you post images to the forum?
Hi alchemilla
Nice idea...but, we cannot post pictures on the forum anymore unless its from your own (url)...is that right don't know much about these things[&:] as HP's data base was getting overloaded...

whoops! email them to me and i will have a look
You can email pics to me and I'll tell you what I think they are; and what tests you can do to confirm my suggestions (light, weight, hardness etc...)
I'd be happy to help.

I've figured it out now!
Here's the first one, it looks like a chocolate lime!
Alchemilla,
The picture is too low in resolution to aid accurate identification; can you send a clear picture to me - try it as a pm - if not then as an email attachment to my email listed on my profile...
It looks like it might be a jasper - I take it it is polished?

Hiya
Mmm...looks like a piece of Chrysoprase to me.
Properties: helps to promote happiness and inner calm also helps to suppress jealousy. Good for relaxation & aids peaceful sleep

Thank you!
I've done a google search on Lemon Chrysoprase and found a picture that actually looks very similar.

It is polished, but has a lot of dark brown on it, which confused me and other people who tried to identify it!
I can't get my camera to focus very well, I need to adjust the settings before I post the next one.
Thank you both for responding!
Yep def. lemon chyrsoprase i'd say.....i have several pieces .....and yes it does look good enough to eat dosn't it...
