Deb,
A few American forums are recommending Milady's "Waxing Made Easy - A Step-by-Step Guide" by Renee Poignard. I haven't used it myself but a quick scan of online stores seems to suggest this is one of the few reference books on the subject out there.
Try the Wax Queen's message board too, she dishes out no-nonsense advice and I can highly recommend her Whole Ball of Wax DVD too. It's pricey, and some of her hygiene advice is dodgy to say the least, but her actual techniques are really useful and she covers every area of the body on both male and female clients. It's a good refresher and I've picked up a few tips which I've incorporated into my waxing practice.

Hope that helps! :)
