Ginger
Question:

Hi guys
A simple question: would you use Ginger in a blend or on its own for the face? (I have a specific reason for asking this).

I love ginger, but always tend to blend it - I think it's better subtle.
I think I would also use a greater dilution of carrier oil on the face and only if there is no skin sensitivity at all.

yes i have used this on the face before......although i had a treatment recently from a therapist who said she would not do my face as there was ginger in the blend .......i told her to go ahead.......the amounts that are used in a treatment are ususlay so low that i really think it does not matter....by the end of a treatment you have usually topped up the oil also.

Hi:D
Thank you so much for your replies.
I have to tell you, I've recently seen an advert for a moisturiser saying that it contains Ginger, my immediate reaction was ...'why?'. Is it because its improves the circulation? I would never have considered it for the face due to the chance that a client's skin would react.
Since then, 2 clients have told me that they've been using this particular cream and both of them have had to stop using it because their skin has reacted (one of them does suffer with mild eczema).
Just interested ....... I like to think I have an open mind but using Ginger (even diluted) on the face is taking some getting my head round [&:]
Help!!

Hi again
I'm not saying that you or the company that make this moisturiser are wrong, I just wonder why they have used Ginger?? I just need to be advised why I should/can use it in blends for the face.
I love Ginger in a blend or on its own for the body (circulation, muscles & joints, respiratory, digestive and nervous problems). Interesting that you use it as a deodrant - for its bactericidal properties?
Thanks for getting back to me.

I've used ginger in a blend for the face to be used after ear candling treatments - to help clear the sinuses and lymph.
