Question:
I was just wondering
I can soon offer massages to others, a I will have an ITEC Diploma in massage
I can also offer Reiki to others as I have done Reiki I and II courses.
With Crystal healing, do I have to have a qualification?
I have done a course on crystal healing and have also done a lot of reading on the subject and have been practicing on my partner, mother in law. But to offer it, is that enough, or is there a qualification I can take?
Thanks
Jo
I would have thought you'd need to be insured, so check with your insurance company. Same for your Reiki service...
Yes, you do need to be insured if you are to work on other people who are going to pay you.
I did my crystal healing course with the SVA. They have a bulk insurance for their qualified healers.
Hi Jo
Yep to offer Crystal Healing as a stand alone therapy you would have to have a qualification and insurance.
You could if you wished use the crystals along side another therapy, making it clear to your clients that you are not qualified in crystals but do have a sound knowledge, and I beleive you would need to let your insurance company know for your self protection.

I would have to agree with all the comments listed above. To take money for a therapy you are not qualified and insured in is in my opinion asking for trouble. There are loads of courses out there, some good, some not so good, finding one near to where you live should not be too difficult.

I don't disagree with the above comments, however there are people out there who work very intuitively and don't have qualifications.
I have never been on a crystal course, yet I use crystals all the time, I trust my higher self and also those working with me in Spirit. In fact, whenever I doubt, my attention is drawn again to 'trust'. It depends on how you look at it.

Yes but, the important thing here Rosi is that you are not offering your services as a crystal healer, but incorporating crystals into whatever it is you do...and that is the very point I was trying to make above, crystals work with all sorts of theapies which is marvellous, just so long as the client is aware that without the 'paper' qualification you cannot call yourself a crystal healer/therapist

That's true Stormdeva, I'm not advertising myself as a "crystal therapist" but will use crystals if I sense the client would benefit from them.
I understand your point now. :)

Just for the record... in the light of this post...
I personally hold no formal, academic qualifications of certified 'crystal healing' or 'crystal therapy'. I generally do not actually practice in the practical sense of the word. That said I feel I do thoroughly understand the subject - and in so doing I see 'holes' in many of the 'certified courses'... which is why I would never consider enrolling on such a course (why do the course when you can see much of it is unsound and not actually teaching the facts as you understand them... if you get the picture...).
However - IMHO, I believe that thoughtforms are the principle key activators behind all energetic healing work. Anyone that can 'think at a distance' can therefore heal at a distance... Crystal and mineral energies can be employed to add exactness and precision to a healing action. The patient does not have to be present. No patient present = no fearbased insurance required... Not that I personally charge for any work I have done - or probably will do yet.
It's one thing to perform any healing or complementary therapy for a career, for a living and for an income - in such instances - insurance is a necessary evil... Just as we need to be insured to drive our cars... 'just in case' something happens that shouldn't happen...
It's quite another thing to offer to do a service without the request for cash in return. I surmise that most folk that do any form of crystal therapy do so - within either of these two latter divides.
