Horary Chart
Question:

Can anyone explain sometbing to me please? I've been having acupuncture for headaches and migraines for a about 3 months now, it seems to help for a time then they come back. The last couple of weeks I've noticed I seem to be OK through the night until about 4.20am. I notice the lungs are 'powering up' at that time but the opposite side is the bladder. Does this mean the bladder is at it's lowest energy point at this time, and could this have a negative effect on my headache pattern?
When I had my last migraine, my bladder (and small intestine) reflexes were like concrete on my feet, really blocked.

Answers:

Hi Daydreamer
The horary chart does indeed indicate an organ's highest and lowest period of energy. So 4.20am BST is Lung high time and Bladder low time.
Migraines can be associated with Bladder disharmony, but more usually with Gallbladder, Liver and Kidney disharmony. Waking early in the morning can be a symptom of Gallbladder deficency, and this may be why you having migraines at this time of day.
Migraines usually respond well to acupuncture in my experience.
Wishing you the best of luck with it.
