Question:
hi there.
i really want to try Kins for my IBS, but was wondering how much i should be paying for a treatment? i have contacted someone from ASK and they have stated £80. I understand that they have gone through loads of training for this and their skills are worth the money, but what should i be paying? is this the normal price?
Plus, this practitoner is a long way away, is there anywhere else to look for a therpist that isnt on ASK?
thanks
Hi Periwinkle,
My kins practitioner is ASK trained, and maybe we have the north/south divide here, but she charges £40 per session plus all the flower remedies, nutritional bits, etc, so a session does usually come out at around £90 for me personally.
I found her at a MBS fair when I had a short tester session, so you could look at your local fairs or the organisers websites to find who attends, or ask a local complementary centre if they can recommend someone, or ring a local therapist who might do referrals. I find aromatherapists and hypnotherapists to be the main people who refer to kins practitioners.
I would prefer to go to someone who was recommended or who I had met and been able to sense their energy, its important to be able to feel trust for the person.
There are other kins associations, you could try www.kinesiologyuk.com. This is a northern organisation but they do trainings in London, so might have someone near you.
Or www.hk4health.co.uk they show people in Gloucestershire and Shropshire, which I think [&:]is near you.
Good luck, hope you feel better soon.
The Kinesiologist near me charges £40 for a session - around one and a half hours I believe.
I expect it varies quite a lot depending on where you live etc!

My kinesiologist is highly qualified (has trained in HK, Applied K, Systematic K, EFT, Reiki...) She does a 1hr 10 min session and charges £20. However, she is retired and although the money helps, she isn't totally reliant on it. She also understands that many of her clients that came to her through a mental health centre don't have a lot of money to spend on treatments, hence the low price. If it was me I would be thinking about charging about £35. Hope that helps:D
I've just found some kinesiologists in Wilts:
Stephanie Robertson KFRP http://www.hk4health.co.uk/regsouth.htm
Mrs. Lesley Taylor
Dr. John English http://www.systematic-kinesiology.co...-therapist.htm
Mrs. Julie Bingham
Thanks azalia!
one on there is one of the ones i contacted and said they were £80. but thanks for the links. i have contacted the others by email to.
I would really like to experience the treatment, and if it helps my IBS then fantastic. but as most other people, couldnt justify spending £80.
my kinesiologist charges £40 a session plus any nutrition. you tend to need more than one treatment if the condition is deep-seated . it is best to go thru ASK as there are different forms of kinesiology and some can be a bit whacky. A systematic kinesiologist is what you want. I know mine does health and psychic fairs so maybe that is a good place to look. it's very important that you find someone you feel totally comfortable with. I am assuming that you've tried the usual, cutting out dairy and wheat, not necessarily at the same time. Modern wheat is grown so that it is highly concentrated and therefore harder to digest. A good alternative is Spelt flour, much easier for the body. Also, you'll find that a pure organic Aloe juice will help enormously with the symptoms. FLP do an excellent one, not the cheapest but definitely very good. If you're strapped for cash, there is a cheaper one available at Holland & Barreett, can't remember the name but it's organic.
Even if I could afford to psy out £80 a session I would question the integrity of the practitioner. Methinks that individual is in it for the money[&:]
Mmm, interesting comment
It depends on location and skill of practitioner. Some people will only go see someone who is expensive as they think they are getting a better practitioner.
Someone in London may have higher overheads than someone who works from home in a lower priced area of the country.
You could ask them why they charge what they charge and see what reaction they come up with. Then you can make a judgement based on your personal interaction rather than mind reading, which I find always gets me into trouble:D as I am usually way off target there.
