Question:
how actually are crystals mined?? I have heard that they are "blown up" from the mountains or earth so that to get to the crystals .. especially in some high grade areas.of the world..
surely we should show some respect from where they come from.. as they are part of our earth and with energies that they give to us for healing..
I would love to hear what otherpeople's views are on it..
thanks[sm=soapbox.gif] i'll get off it now..:D
Some minerals are indeed blasted out of the cavities, but crystals are generally not - because they're too valuable and too prone to breaking during such extraction. Miners get more money for undamaged goods so they avoid explosives around crystals as a general rule.
Those that are 'blown up' such as Rose Quartz and Aventurine - are immediately vacated by 'life' for a brief few seconds due to the energetic shockwave, but are equally very quickly re-habitualised by new Monads of that mineral variety and life then continues. Man is not the cause of all explosions - they occur in volcanic actions too.

thanks hon.. another site I work hon was getting very stirred up about this and I thought I would open it to the floor on HP.. very mixed views on crystal mining.. I personally believe the if they were never "mined" what a waste of such beautifull items to be hidden away..
:(
I grew up in a little town in South Africa on the foot of the Zoutpans Berg (the Salt Pan Mountain)...
On the other side of the mountain was natural Salt Pans (this is wayyyyyyy to the Far North - inland, so no sea/ocean near this place)...
On Sunday afternoons we would walk around on the groudns of this salt pan and pick up rocks... when you break open these rocks you got the most amazing semi precious stones and crystals...
It has now been privatized and no one is allowed withing miles of the place...
Some crystals can just be picked up...
