Welcome to HP. There is no reason why you shouldn't have reflexology with kidney stones and you may find that it gives you some relief.

Hi Mary
I would recommend finding a good massage therapist who does lymphatic drainage and getting yourself a really good massage.
Two years ago my partner was suffering very badly with kidney stones and in fact one of his kidneys was soooooo blocked that it stopped working. He was due to go into hospital and have a stent put in. One morning he was in so much pain I suggested giving him a massage to see if it would help (had previously tried reflexology) and low and behold only 1/2 hour later he passed a whole 'pan' full of stones. I repeated the massage 4 days later and the same thing happened. When he returned to the hospital for an ultrasound a few days later the stones had completely gone. His operation was cancelled and he was absolutely thrilled. Have still to invoice him for the treatments (smile).
His consultant wasn't shocked at all when he told him what we had done.......in fact he said that research into massage and kidney stones was being done somewhere in Southampton.
One small twinge now and it's massage time!!!! Forgot to say that I used Fennel and Juniperberry essential oils. Hope this helps

Very keen to know what sort of massage you gave your husband. Were there any particular areas that you paid special attention to or was it just a neck. back shoulder massage concentrating on specific areas?
