Question:
Following on from my thread from yesterday about having my reiki 2 last nite......well i had it.....and i have to admit, i didnt feel anything.......:(
It was a one to one at my house, which makes me think that it wasnt like it was on my reiki 1, where it felt like it was a 'course' or something. i had the attunment and nothing.
i still dont feel any different. i know your not neccessary suppost to, but i was hoping that something mite be different.
doing some more tonite with my master to finish it off we think or it mite go over into three nites, gotta learn the symbols and stuff. doing a treatment on him tonite where i have to talk, say and draw the symbols on him.
Oh Hey tell me about it. I had my Reiki I last Saturday and Reiki on Sunday. I felt nothing either.
I was fascinated by the teachings and what you can do with Reiki but during the attunements I can't say I felt, saw or heard anything. The other girls were saying they saw colours and things but nothing for me.
However, it does come to you over the next few days. You will realise that you have got something and when you use your Reiki - I have healed a bumped elbow on myself and a burn on someone's hand at work. It definately worked.
My family had very heavy colds - Reiki did not cure it but it certainly loosened it up and they did seem to recover quite quickly.
So don't worry, my Master said that the symbols were definately put in so I do have Reiki II but I suppose everyone is different and for you and me there were no major shifts.

tapintohealth - really? oh that makes me feel a lot better. im just worried (and i know i know - just for today i wont worry!) so ok, im concerned that it wont work!
i broke down in tears on my reiki 1, but this i have felt nothing. nothing at all. not even relaxed.
its good to know that it will come to me, suppose i am asking a bit much seeing it was only last nite, and havent really had time to practice!
just wanted to know others views on it, and if they had any major or non major feelings/experiences from it?
I did have colours and experiences with Reiki II but it wasn't anywhere near as intense as with my first experience. Level III however was wonderful.
I also didn't feel my Reiki had significantly increased after II - but it was more about learning the symbols and being able to do distance healing etc.
Don't worry - as you say "just for today". I think the path of spiritual development is a bit like this. You walk along a straight path with not much scenery, and every now and then you come to a brow of a hill and the vista opens up and it's a real "wow" moment. Then off you plod again for a little way..........

I didn't feel much on either Reiki 1 or 2 but it definitely worked!! :) Not everyone feels anthing, sees colours, guides, flashes or whatever.
Whatever you feel/don't feel is right for you. No need to worry, just go with the flow.
Congratulations on Reiki 2. Enjoy your journey because that's what it is - YOUR JOURNEY. :)
Once you learn the symbols, sit up on a chair, ground yourself, hands resting on knees, palms upwards then try drawing the power symbol in the air in your mind while meditating. Note any sensations. Let us know how you get on...

The experience you had was personal to you and it is 'your journey along your spiritual path'. The energy is there and you will feel it developing within you and each time you use it, especially (as Darren says) when you meditate. Enjoy!

hi, just enjoy it, when i was doing my reiki 1 and 2 i felt my third eye getting bigger and tingling, but for my masters i didn't feel a thing i may have seen gold colour but nothing that you could say yes it was something, the more you use it and people around you commenting on how you have helped them or that they have seen something while doing the treatment the more you will feel better about it, you dont have to feel anything while being attuned so like i said enjoy doing it.

I have to admit, i did my second part of my reiki 2 last nite, and i gave a treatment to my master, this was weird! as Dye experienced, my head tilted itself backwards and there was this very prominated tingling in my third eye!
Im so glad i felt something, i just get dishearted if i dont and need things to tell me i am on this path!
im going to give a self healing tonite to see if i can feel any difference. but i have to admit i am much more happier now.
got to go my 30 days now tho.

I like this....:D It's so true and I can sympathise with Sarah. I didn't feel anything particular during my initiations, although I was floating in a very nice space during the masters...lol. The trouble is, when we hear other people talking about colours and guides and such like, our little egos want some of that too! It may be, Sarah, that yours will be a more subtle and gradual opening and that is your chosen way. Bells and whistles are nice but a gentle growth is pretty cool too...
