Question:
I have done my AAMT practitioner (Level 2) EFT and thoroughly loved it!
I was more than happy with the training and it wasn't until I was making enquiries about Level 3 that I encountered problems.
An organisation that does AMT courses said that they had a Lev 3 course coming up but that I would need to do their AMT level 2 Practitioner course before I could do Lev 3.
Why?
Is my Lev 2 AAMT no good?
What's the general opinion?

Hi Sky,
It's not good that you had this, as the certification requirement for people to do Level 3 is that they have successfully completed Level 2. It may be that particular training organisation, I really don't know.
The AAMT and AMT are two seperate bodies that are associations for meridian therapies. The AAMT has many good people and if you read some of the posts in this forum, you will see that we are highly respected. I will not go into this much further so as not to give the impression of any kind of favouritism. I personally chose the AAMT to be the organisation I am a trainer for because they reflected my values better. It's a personal thing.
Also, I find that my students wait and return to me for further training rather than go elsewhere, so may I ask why you chose a different teacher or school this time? Were you let down by your Level 2 training or did you wish to benefit from something specifically on the other Level 3 course? Another point is training standards of the new teacher(s). For example, my training and expectations are more than the recommended minimum at all levels, so maybe your new teacher(s) also have higher standards and do not wish to take someone trained by your old teacher(s)? Having said that, I have only once declined a student who had trained elsewhere, and that student had not grasped the basics at their training.
It really shouldn't be this way :(
Hi Suzanne
Thanks for the reply!
I didn't really go looking to do my Lev3 with someone other than the person I did Lev 2 with, the other organisation rang me, they had my details from when I was making enquiries about doing Level 2 and I suppose just contacted me as a follow up to my initial enquiries.
It was then that they started going on about Lev 3 and said that if I wanted to do it with them I would need to redo my Lev 2 because theirs was AMT and my Lev 2 was AAMT.
I was more than happy with the lady I trained with and will go back to do my Lev 3 with her!
It just troubled me that it was as if my qualification was viewed as not good enough.
I just wondered what other people thought because it was worrying to feel that even though I was delighted with my training/trainer my Level 2 was somehow seen as substandard!
Thankyou for your encouraging words!
