Question:
I have recently developed and interest in crystals and so I bought a few at a spiritual fair today. I have heard that for them to 'work' properly you need to program them. Would anyone be able to tell me how I do that? Also, can anyone give me a few ideas/links on how to effectively use them.

[color=#660099]Imagine that a crystal or mineral is like a battery that creates a certain type of energy; all different crystal types (Citrine, Clear Quartz, Amethyst etc…) creating all different subtle mineral energies. However, each different crystal's energy has certain specific qualities about it and when interacting with our human subtle energies – changes can occur.
So – for example, Amethyst creates an energy that is transformative and has an action to absorb chaotic or unbalanced energies around it and “sort them out” into a neutral and balanced condition. For this reason it is profound for treating headaches… The headache is the result of various subtle energies in a chaotic condition (various causes for this) – when Amethyst is introduced to the situation – its mineral energy automatically connects with the chaotic energies and absorbs them within the crystals energetic structure. It then begins to manage them and organise them into a neutral condition and emits them out of the crystal and away from the scene.
However – as much as Amethyst will perform this action anyway – on its own – purely due to evolutionary laws that govern subtle energies, it will not make much effect very quickly. So – when a healer might use Amethyst to treat someones headache – they think about what they are doing… They think about the qualities of the Amethyst crystal… they think about the patients headache problem… and they think about the function of the Amethyst in the process of resolving the problem…
Whenever we ‘think’ we actually create something on an inner level of our reality which is called a thoughtform, the stronger our thought – the stronger our thoughtform; or more accurately – the stronger the vibrations of the thoughtform will be.
Now then – when the healer uses the Amethyst – they can only do so if they think about its use at the time. They create a special type of thoughtform which actually attaches itself to the Amethyst’s energetic structure. This thoughtform then begins to completely dominate the mineral energy that the Amethyst naturally is creating all the time… and the result is that the Amethyst energy becomes ‘programmed’. I guess you were wondering by now when I’d come to that word! – Programming a crystal is simply a matter of thinking a strong thought of a desired effect you want the crystal’s energy to do. It is quite simple.
However – a great deal of fuss (and to be honest, in my opinion – fuss and nonsense) is made over the subject of programming crystals. It is the simplest thing in reality – but many people make such a song and dance over it… You don’t need to cleanse the crystal first – unless you have a very good reason to do so (such as someone had deliberately put a nasty thought to it… which isn’t very likely). You don’t need some special incense or essential oils. You don’t need any fancy words such as those of a ‘spell’ or incantation. All you need to do is clearly, strongly …think.
However, if you do not know the actual quality of the crystal’s energy – such as Citrine’s quality to balance the digestive system of the stomach – or Bloodstone’s quality to aid recovery from amnesia… Then when you might use the crystal and ‘program’ it with a thoughtform to do something – it might not work properly. If crystals and minerals are used without the correct understanding of their energy – quality then nothing ‘bad’ happens – it’s just that the effects and results that may occur will generally only be temporary. This is because these results are due to the thoughtform vibrations only and do not involve the crystal at all. Its like putting the wrong key into a lock… only the door opens a little while and closes again – compared to putting the right key into the lock and the lock ‘unlocking’ and the door then staying open. We can all influence our reality by our thoughts (thoughtforms) alone, but the changes are more significant when we use the right keys in the right locks…

I also don't programme my crystals. They 'know' what to do without me telling them! I also agree, however that by asking them to do something they will work much quicker.
I used to work from home and all my crystals lived in my healing room. People used to ask me why the energy wasn't too strong for the people with various illnesses to stay in the room. The reason was that the crystals seemed to go into some sort of 'sleep' until the person came into the room and then the crystals that person needed at that moment 'woke up'.
I know this sounds amazing, but then the Crystal kingdom is!
