Question:
Hi guys,
the other day my teacher came to the class really excited by the fact that the crystal man is coming to the college, and doing one day course for nothing, you each get certifiacte, all you might want to do is buy the crystal it seems like big con to me, but i dont know cos i never been to one these before, has any one been, is it worth going, please give me some advice.

The 'crystal man' is coming to give them a course for 'free', but they might end up having to buy their crystals from him?
I suppose they have the choice to buy or not to buy, but some of these people can be very persuasive and you sometimes only realise when you get home that you might not want or need your purchase just then???
I am not saying, this is the case with this man, but it is a good thing to keep it in mind when going...

I echo Saffrons words... but it doesn't hurt to keep a healthy scepticism in control... Very few folk will do something like this for free - absolutely free... there is usually a catch - but it may not directly affect you. For example - the College may be paying his fee perhaps - or he is there to do a 'one day taster course' with a view to hooking a few students that want to learn the deeper and more interesting stuff - at a cost later on... Or perhaps he's trying to sell a book he's written (lol!)
To gauge his knowledge (if you go) - you might ask him this question:
If a crystal - let's say a Quartz crystal - has a healing quality... how does he know that his belief of that crystal having that quality is accurate? - The point here being - where does his information stem from. If it came from a book, a teacher, a course - where did they get the information from - where did it start? How would he ultimately know his information is actually correct? He might suggest (for example that a certain crystal can have a positive effect on the Heart organ... but who defined such an association (and how did they do it)...?
Don't get me wrong - I personally know all too well that crystals definitely do have qualities - but I am always curious when people teach the subject - about the origins of their knowledge...

now that was funny, blue I havent stop laughing, trust me, my college would charge us for everything. they dont give anything for free. well crystal man is only going to come if so many students sign up for he's one day course, which is suppose to be free, so i guess he must be selling, my husband doesnt trust the idea going in there for free, and not buying anything. But now he thinks the crystal man might do something to me and i would leave he's class, and put flower on my ear and run round naked cuddling up trees. maybe for that i go to he's class just to see the look on my husband face. i know that was mean but funny.:)

Maybe I'm being a bit thick...but who is the crystal man? Now if you said Melody I'd be stampeding my way there, but the crystal man who exactly is he I've not heard of him...does he have a name??
Just googled him, if its the same one has a shop in Glastonbury, I know the one, been in there ...or is it someone else?

my fault that all this has started about the crystal man, I dont who he is but my tutor came to the class one evening to tell us there is the crystal man coming, he wants so many student to sign up, the class is for free but i think he wants student to turn up with money on them to buy the crsytal, now what is so funny is there is guy here called blue crystal that he made joke of that he didnt realise he was ask to go, any way if you read all the threads on this page you get it what is going on, i hope this help to clear the other crystal man that you know.

I'm afraid the college has not been able, to get enough student to sign up for the course, so at this time he hasnt been booked in yet, so i guess we have to wait and see.
