HIya Everyone
I am trying to get a little business up and running. Nothing huge, just hopefully a couple of clients a week (basically just to fill some time in when my kids are at school). Also wanting to do Pamper nights and such, but I am having a lot of trouble getting some liability insurance. Seems the only place to do it is FHT and because I am not making a great deal of cash out of this, I do think thier prices are a little out of my reach. (Wouldn't be so bad if I could make monthly or 3 monthy payments).
Does any one know where I can get liability insurance for doing Reiki, Reflexology & IHM. I would be doing it in my own home and local venues (ie Community Centres).

They do public liability cover. If you're practising in your own home you may have to check your household cover - if you are practising in some-one else's home - they invited you in & it would be their responsibility (as I understand -) someone will put me right if I'm wrong

Thanks for the link, I have phoned the company and they are going to send me an application form. I think £44:50 is excellent value for liability insurance.

im like yourself newly qualified in swedish massage
also working part time and now fitting in treatments whilst
youngest at nursery.
but eventually when he is at school i would like to do this
work full time.
like yourself i had trouble finding an insurance company
and i have gone with fht membership and insurance
have used a credit card for now ,just hope i can build
up enough clients to make it worthwhile.
unfortunatly these days i feel you need to protect yourself
as it has become a bit of a (sue society)
