i was just wondering if anyone had a manicure and pediciure college kit they would like to sell? its just that i was hoping to start college to do man and ped but i have now got a new job which means that i wont be able to make it back in time - so i was hoping that someone mite have the kit theywould like to sell so i could practice on friends etc. which doing maybe a home study course.

oh thats a pity... i remember we were talking about doing this before.
dont have a kit, but i have most of what i need so i am sure you could gradually collect the stuff together. some items are far less expensive than you'd think.
basically, (and now all the pro manis and pedis - curist jump and say NO!!!) i have orange sticks, a hoof stick thing, 3 way buffing file (block and flat thing), toe nail emery file and softer finger one, cuticle remover cream and softener, nail varnish remover, ummmm trying to think, oh yes large clippers (easier to handle) and cuticle nippers (torture instrument), cuticle eraser stick, cotton wool, selection of varnishes (incl base and top), finger nail bowl... enough to get you started!!
i still havent found a suitable course and i got too pissed off with the distant course to try another one. i know stonebridge do a course, but somewhere on here someone said it takes ages to get through it because you have to post papers back and they wont send the next lot til they have the first lot. the one i did at least gave 3 lessons at a time and it was email.
my local college are doing a certificated course, i should follow it up.
i did think about buying it all seperatly, but thought it mite work out more expensive but then again buying it bit by bit at least you dont have to shell out for all of it in one go.
so are you doing a course or your waiting to find one? im gutted that i wont be able to get back in time to do a college course (not that it matters this year as there were no spaces on it) - so the only thing i can think of is doing is home study course.
some people rave about them and some people dont, Im thinking of going with BSY as its a 'buy one get one free' course until oct 31st, which means i can do the facial one to.

I am doing the BSY Manicure and Pedicure one and they send a form to buy a starter kit from Ellisons which is a professional company and its much cheaper then going directly .

and also I found out that BSY were doing 2 for 1 and rang them up. Cheers for that
