help in understanding
Question:

I am wondering if a psycologist is the answer for me, i have no confidence or self-esteem, i have tried larch, acupuncture, reiki, hypnotherapy, self-help books, but nothing seems to work for me. i have suffered this problem since I was 13 I am now 27. I can never settle down in a job due to the fact that I am very quiet where i do not speak or speak in a depressing tone of manner, my partner says to me that my cv is like reading a book. I seem to jump from job to job.
A few years ago I was involved a serious car crash where a good friend ( who was the driver) died through her injuries, i feel sometimes that the wrong person has gone. My other close friend and my partner says that i have changed dramatically.
I would like to get to the bottom of this as i feel what the point of living if this is how life is, only existing and not living.

I am sorry to hear you feel like this, you seem to have tried a few things to help yourself
I don't have an answer but I wondered if you have tried bereavement counselling as I know that this really helped a friend of mine.

sorry to read about your problem but I believe that you have come to the right place to find answers. It is interesting that many of my clients are going through similar situations to yours and certainly lack of confidence and low self-esteem seems to be on the increase these days. Many reasons for this but this will take us in another direction.
The most important thing for such a situation is what I call a two prongued approach. First of all no confidence will come back to you unless and until you start believing in yourself. Now, this may be difficult at times, especially when life presents us with unexpected and at times tragic events such as the one you went through. This means that your thinking habit, your thinking patterns needs to shift from negativity and self-criticism to one of positive thinking and self-praise. There is one important thing in all this and that is that no one can live your life, you are the owner of what you make of your life. That means taking responsibility for the positive change we want to bring in our life.
And that leads me to the fact that what I believe may help you is the positive action of a life coach who can move you from where you are now to where you want to be. Conffidence building, raising self-esteem are areas where a life coach can help you tremendously; in fact far more and far better than what you have already tried out by yourself. The issue here is not to attempt this or that but to have someone who can "walk with you" and support you along the way of personal empowerment. It means rediscovering who and what you are and helping you to change your thought pattern which in turn will affect your words and your attitude which in turn will affect your actions.
The querstion I always ask my clients going through similar situations is "Are you ready to change? Do you want to change?" If the answer is yes then... there is light before you.
P.S. If you wish to discuss these matters further feel free to send me a pm or email me.

Dear Spiritualhappiness
You have suffered some soul loss and need soul retrieval therapy, part of your soul as dis-associated with the rest.
Recommend a book by Sandra Ingreman called 'Soul Retrieval'.
On my website you will find a case study about a police officer that had problems due to a serious car accident.
GOD speed you with your healing journey.

I know the problem about reading the one good thing about the book I suggested is it has a synopsis at the end of each chapter so you can dip in and get the gist. Glad you have started kim's book a good place to start

sacred star, i have finished the book, your not joking when you say you couldn't put it down, some of the case studies described what i have went through in the past. It is amazing, how the loss of your soul can lead you into many difficulties. I felt so sorry for many of Sandra's clients, especially when she travelled on a boat made of skeleton bones, I have forgotten the part, this brought a tear to my eye, just reading it. I now know why, there is so much suffering, in this world, some extends from childhood experiences, others extends from the misery of the grief that comes from our parents as they raise us.
I felt quite angry at how a mother can feel jealous of her child and to take her soul.
I could go on and on, to some the book up in one sentence, one amazing and interesting factual piece of work. If I had the choice, I would give Sandra a award for the work she has put into her book.
Thank you for telling me about her book, I now want to find out about having a treatment done.
