Question:
Could someone help me please...
Hello, i was wondering if someone could remind me how to measure up for a new bra? I've been trying to look on the net, and have found several ways to measure up-but so far all the answers have seemed crazy. I'm either 38AAAAAAAA...... so basically have inverted boobs! or 34c on other sites. I'm definatly not 'flat' but not very big either so both answers dont seem right. Ive been wearing 36A for quite a while, but now that size doesnt seem right at all. im getting fed up of not being able to get bras to fit properly. Please dont tell me to go to M+S as they said i was a 36B last time i went-the cups were too big on me though. please help as nothing fits at the moment!
kat.
Go by how the bra fits rather than the measurements, there's a good guide on Bravissimo website. Alternatively get fitted in a Bravissimo shop if there's one nearby.
I thought bravissimo was just for larger busted ladies though? wouldnt i look daft going into one of their shops? (dont think theres one where i live mind).
Its worth bearing in mind that most women wear a bra which is too big round the body, in fact I was doing this for years and I thought I was pretty good at fitting my own bra!
I find that small independent bra shops tend to "fit" you the best but have learnt to be wary of people using tape measures.
It may be easiest to get a load of different size bras and take them into the fitting room to try them yourself, but you will need to try sizes you really think won't fit.
I would suggest starting with a 32C 34B 34C if you are currently wearing at 36A. What exactly doesn't fit about the 36A?
I was wearing a 34D / 36C and they just weren't right somehow and after a visit to Bravissimo I ended up in 34E in most brands and 32E or maybe 32DD in M&S
this is quite a good link
