Question:
Shoes and the rain?
Can anyone recommend a way of protecting shoes from the rain? I have a few new pairs of leather shoes from Topshop that I really want to wear all the time, is there an effective way of stopping then being ruined and soggy?
I know there are sprays, but do they really work? And how well?
I think if you treat the shoes over a course of several days with the rain protection spray it works a bit better. I have a pair of cord boots that I did about 5 treatments on...left a couple of days in between each spray, and they seem to hold up OK in the rain.
Thanks, I'll give one a try!
Its just really annoying living in Scotland as it seems to rain every day this time of year!
tell me about it, Glasgow is so annoying
I think that as long as you use good wax polish on them regularly, as you would anyway, they'll be fine. I guess you could use a waterproofing spray on top to be doubly sure.
Don't dry them on the radiator obviously but if they're soaked stuff with newspaper or material to keep the shape and just leave them. You don't want to wear the same pair two days running ideally anyway so it doesn't matter if they take more than a night to dry.
