Question:
Greetings from Doha!
 everyone!
I got here early yesterday morning, and am having a lovely time with my OH! I've arrived at the perfect time as the heat's quite bearable and dies down in the evening. We went shopping and for dinner by the bay last night (we had Arabic mezze and then I had a prawn curry with enormous fresh Gulf prawns) which was really lovely, then we came home and watched The Big Lebowski, which I haven't seen for years! It's just lovely falling asleep with him and waking up together in the morning, and just being together, and we're still as much in love as always.
We went to the biggest mall in Doha and they have a Debenhams, Next, French Connection and a Benetton, and a MAC shop! I wasn't my usual shopaholic self and didn't go in to many shops though as I was a bit self-conscious, I got a lot of dirty looks for being with my (white) OH even though I was really covered up, so I think it's not my clothes but my race that's the problem but I'm sure I'll get used to it... and it definitely won't get in the way of my shopping next time! I especially want to investigate whether the British shops bring over the same trends over here, and how much they cost over here :detect:
I got a great haul in duty-free too - I got a headrush when I first got in (it's been a while!) and got:
MAC shadows in Humid, Sketch and Trax
another YSL faux cils mascara
Chanel glossimers in Imaginaire (lovely sheer raspberry with subtle sparkle) and Nougat (a lovely natural sparkly beige on me)
and a 50% cashmere 50% silk pashmina in deep, deep purple for £36 from Tie Rack (I got 10% off the tax free price as it had a tiny pulled thread!) - I love it! it's perfect for here as it keeps me cool outside but keeps me warm indoors, the A/C is fab!
I was really tempted by two Shu Emura blushes, one was bright red shot with gold and the other was a bright barbie pink, but I restrained myself and now I wish I hadn't! I'll be visiting the Covent Garden shop when I get back as I think their pigments might even better MAC's (a lot of MAC powder blushes don't show up on my skin) and their eyeshadow colour range is simply amazing.
I don't have much to do during the day as OH is at work, but I've been mooching and watching Arabic fashion tv, lurking on the bag and relaxing.
Hope you're all well!
Morning!
Sounds like you're having a good time - I'll bet it's lovely being with your OH again after so long :)
Enjoy your trip, and enjoy your man!
sounds like somebody went to terminal 3 :flirt: !
very jealous of the food, i've been dying for some big prawns lately :munch:
It sounds like you're having a fabulous time Naz! It must be so nice to spend some time with your O/H. Enjoy yourself! :D
