Question:
Chinese seamstress on Ebay - would you?
Hello fashion girlies. I know your knowledge of Ebay is far greater than mine so I was wondering if you could give me your opinions.
Hopefully i've attached a picture of my wedding dress. The two styles of bridesmaid dress that i've also hopefully attached match my dress but they are extremely expensive to buy.
Anyway i've found a tailor on ebay that lives in Shanghai that knocks these dresses up for about thirty quid, made to measure. Sounds well dodgy doesn't it?! The question is - would you risk it?
In the grand scheme of things I know it's only £60 i'd have lost if they turn out crap but her feedback is good.
I've not seen any as nice on the high street.
Edited to say its £30.00 including postage!
Sorry here are the bridesmaid dresses.
Hi lirpa
I thought a few wedding baggers had used a Chinese Ebay seamstress and been really happy with the dresses. Silk Road Bridal springs to mind
Good feedback is reassuring. Maybe you could email one of their previous buyers for added peace of mind?
If you haven't seen anything nicer and could cope with losing £60 if it did go wrong, then I say go for it.

Hi Shiny - yeah that's what I was kind of thinking. It just sounds well dodgy doesn't it. I've mentioned it to a few people and they kind of go :yaright: I know a few of the wedding girls have used ebay seamstresses and have been happy. I may risk it for the sake of £60.00. These dresses would cost me about £450 for two if I bought them from the designer.
Wow that dress is absolutely stunning :faint:
I think you should definitely risk it just cos its that beautiful!
