Question:
Dyeing pleather boots
Has anyone done this (successfully :D ) before?
I have a pair of light brown, fake leather boots that I's like to dye a darker brown using a leather dye. Would it work..? Or will it just create a big mess?
Any ideas welcomed!
I did it on a pair of greek sandles for my dancing years ago, and it worked fine. It was a dye that you had to paint on, not sure if it's the same kind of thing as yours.
I don't think it'd work personally as pleather is just plastic, I believe. So it wouldn't absorb the dye. I'm sure all those dylon packs say you can only use them on natural fabrics?
