Opinions on this Hobbs coat?
Question:

Opinions on this Hobbs coat?
I bought this coat today and wondered if you could help me in deciding whether to keep it or not.

The pattern is very pretty, little circles of 2 different shades of purple and it has a deep cadbury's purple lining.
Basically I've been looking for a decent winter coat for ages, I couldn't get one last year and have been unsuccessful so far in finding anything suitable. My problem is very narrow shoulders and most coats drown me, even size 6s and I'm not even overly skinny! I'm studying at the moment so on my last visit home my mum gave me £100 to buy a coat. I finally found this today but it costs double that and so I need some help trying to justify the purchase to myself.
It's worth spending more money on something beautifully made and that I don't think will date, isn't it? It is a lot of money and I could buy something cheap and warm but I think I'm much less likely to wear it if it doesn't fit properly.

I like the colour and I think you might have answered your own question. It's quite a classic design, Hobbs are generally good quality, it should last. If it fits you, go for it.

I really like that!

I have the cropped version of that coat and think both styles are lovely and a great colour. I'd say go for it:)

Thank you,
I've decided to keep it. I shouldn't be skint for too much longer and I really think it's a coat that will last well.
I didn't know they did a cropped version too, Dots  This one comes down to mid-calf on me as I'm so short but I think I need the length for warmth.
