How to walk in high heels...
Question:

How to walk in high heels...
Supposedly you have to practise doing housework in heels to get used to them.
But I just can't get on with heels. How do you practise running for the bus with bags of heavy shopping, walking on shiny surfaces at speed, or doing spiral staircases?
Is it possible to lust over flats in the same way as heels?

Good questions Chloe! :D
Personally I'm okay-ish on heels, but when I encounter a shiny surface I must look ridiculous, because I take tiny baby steps!!

Practice makes perfect! Weaing them around the house is always a good idea to try and get used to them.

I find it easier to walk in heels with a few drinks on me! Not too many though, then I fall over.:heyhey:

Personally speaking the older I get the less comfortable I find high shoes. I used to wear skyscraper heels all the time in my early twenties and now I go for comfort first. I do still wear heels for going out but I prefer wedges as they give you the height, but are easier to master. I adore my NL wedges, they are so comfy and easy to walk in yet they are about 4 inches high and make my legs look fantastic, even if I do say so myself!

I quite often wear shoes in roundthe house sometimes with socks to make it more comfy.

Practise does make perfect (I got used to wearing high heels by doing karate-esque high kicks in mine but that might be a bit extreme for some people  ).
The other thing I noticed is that after doing Pilates for a bit, I could suddenly walk much more easily in them and that I didn't really get sore feet anymore, presumably through a combination of better posture, balance and core strength.
