Question:
Reiss returns policy
Hi
I bought a nice dress for a wedding in Reiss Yesterday (£155.00  ) I've found and bought one I love in Zara today for £70.00. I thought I could just take the other dress back and get a refund (it still has all the tags on and I have the bag and receipt) I've since noticed that under returns policy on the receipt it says an exchange or credit note can be provided if brought back within 14 days. I've looked on their website and searched the web and can't find any clarification, so I wondered does anyone know if this is the case? Also legally where do I stand? Do they not have to give me a refund?
Thanks for your help
That's right, they'll only give you an exchange or a credit note unless the item is faulty. The stores are not obliged to give refunds if you just changed your mind, I'm afraid. Most do it simply as a good will gesture.
Seconding Loony...if I ever pop in to Reiss for a browse I have to be VERY strict with myself before I open my wallet. The lighting in the changing rooms is poor and the sales assistants extremely persuasive - for these reasons I often find it hard to judge whether something genuinely suits me, or even if I really want to buy it! The only thing I can suggest is that you may be able to sell a credit note on Ebay for a reasonable percentage of its face value.
Thanks
That's just so crap. DD was screaming and my OH looked like he was going to rip his arm off if I didn't get it so I didn't check. I've had a brain wave (it's rare so I'm excited) OH wants to get a new shirt for this wedding and I want to get some shoes and I did see some nice ones in there so I guess I'll have a lookin there this weekend and use the exchange that way.
Thanks Again ladies
