Dud buys
My latest dud is a very busy flowery blue dress from Mango. It is so busy it just drowns me, I'll wear it but never feel 'right' in it. I just can't seem to do anything other than simple but I keep trying too hard lately. So what do you regret buying lately?
A red smock jumper from ASOS, it drowns me and looks really cheap. I wish i;d returned it, but i hoped that in a different mirror, or on a 'slim' day, i'd like it. :boohoo:
Also, a pair of dorothy perkins black skinny jeans, which faded after the first wash and have stretched beyond redemption!
What is it with these skinny jeans stretching? I've recently bought 2 pairs from New Look and I have to keep hoisting them up as they've become all saggy on the butt. The best non sag skinnies are the New Look Disco but they don't have a choice of colours, only indigo, hence I tried out some New Look 'House of Vintage'. I will be taking them back as I have the receipt and it's worth a try. Can you not give jumper away as a present?
I wore the jumper a few times (each time, thinking 'ugh' whenever i saw myself in the mirror) but i might try and pass it on to someone who it may suit more. I like smock tops to not be too long, and this one is really long and really baggy even though i ordered it in an 8 when i'm a 10/12!!
I've given up on skinny jeans, i think my bum's too big for them, and although boot-cut aren't 'in', i feel much slimmer in them!:D
Don't give up on the skinnies. I'm a 10/12 with a big bum/small waist and New Look Disco skinnies are a perfect fit in a size 12 and they don't sag plus they are really cheap at about 20-25 pounds.
