Question:
my jennifer bags have arrived, help!
Two of my bags have finally arrived. The roxanne is quite gorgeous but a little on the orange side, did anyone else find that?
I also ordered a louis vuitton alma, as it's one bag I have always had a soft spot for. I was a bit unsure of this cos I have seen some copies where the brown leather is not the right colour but went for it anyway.
Well needless to say the brown leather on mine is so pale, its virtually magnolia! Anyone got any suggestions for ageing the leather that don't involve me taking out the bag in public and exposing myself for the big, cheap, fake bag buying prat that I am!?
Hello!!
Well, my Roxanne is definitely a tan sort of colour, but possibly not quite orange. It's the exact same colour as another leather bag I have (non-designer).
I kind of just overlooked the fact it wasn't exactly the right colour because everything else about it is so ace., and at least it's a recognised colour of leather if you know what I mean?

If you are certain you want to change it I am sure leather dye for shoes would work on it. Magnolia sounds nice though... I'm not sure most people could tell it wasn't the real thing?
The leather on the real LV bags is very pale when new, it weathers with use to the more tan shade that you are used to seeing.
The leather on the LV should weather quite quickly as the big travel bag I got from Jennifer just before Christmas is going a lovely colour and my bag from last summer has gone really dark just with regular use.
I`m not sure but something like saddle soap might darken the handles & trim.
