Question:
Jeans - Please help me to make a decision...! Dooz, please read!
Probably a story you've all heard a million times over  but I simply cannot make a decision and need the advice of the baggers!
OK - have bought the same pair of Diesel Kycut jeans in two sizes (Dooz, if you're reading this, I managed to get my hands on the next size up - pure fluke, went into USC and there they were :D !!).
(Dooz, I know you and a couple of others on a previous post said they're more than likely to stretch, but I'm worried they won't!!
I know you've all heard it before, but I do plan to lose weight - not a huge amount - and it's slowly coming off....!
I can just do up the 31 in waist but have a bit of overhang :o :D - thing is if I keep these and for some reason don't lose the weight I plan to (but I am determined), then these will be very uncomfortable.
The 32 in waist I can do up comfortably and they feel slightly better than the 31s at the moment - but if I do lose weight, they will probably end up too big - but I could wear a belt?? But then they might look saggy round the bum/on the legs.
I don't want to take these back and buy them again if and when I've lost weight, I've had enough trouble finding them in the first place and absolutely adore them :throb: :throb:
So, which would you keep - the 31s or the 32s? Bear in mind they ain't cheap (£100 ) so need to make sure I get it right!
Sorry if it's a slightly trival thread - I should be quite capable of making this decision on my own, but clearly I'm not...:D
I thank you ladies!
hehe you are just as bad as me with the indecisiveness!
Okay in my very honest opinion, these jeans do stretch. I had the muffin top with mine but after wearing them just once/twice it went away. Meanwhile i wore long tops to cover it up. Right now it is the perfect size. The reason why I wouldn't go for the size up is because it is BOUND to get a bit bigger, so if the 32's are perfect right now then I think you should size down. I hate it when jeans sag around the bum and get that crotch effect, I know when you wash jeans they go back to the same size but this means you have to keep washing them everytime they go baggy. I hate doing that because a) it ruins the wash of the jeans b) it is not a good thing to wash clothes too much c) it's annoying.
Now you are planning on losing a bit of weight as well, in which case I'd definitely keep the smaller size. Can I ask how uncomfortable it is wearing the 31's right now? And how bad is the overhang on a scale of 1 to 10? Because, honestly I'm not lying but I really did get bruising on my thighs when I wore mine the first few times :o As long a they aren't giving you severe pain then I think you should stick with the 31's.
Have you worn the smaller ones around the house? Have you noticed any difference? How well do the 32's fit you right now? I'd say keep both for now and wear the smaller ones a lot, if you are not convinced and they still feel too tight then keep the 32's.

Glad I'm not the only one!! :D
Well, I haven't worn the 31s for a while yet but I reckon that's the way forward - hopefully with a bit of movement, I might be able to gauge how much they are likely to stretch. The 31s are pretty uncomfortable, especially when I sit down - I feel like I have to pull my tummy in so it ends up hurting my back, if that make sense. Can't believe yours gave you bruises!!
See, the thing is, I plan to lose weight and I'm sure I will so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem - it's just that I honestly think there is no way I could wear the 31s until I've lost that weight.
I've only got another 12 or so days to make my mind up - both are on 14 days' return policy unfortunately.
Thanks for helping me out dooz!
Anyone else got an opinion pretty please?!??
I think we had the discussion not so long ago about TS skinnies or similar? And I shall say the same again! Most jeans do stretch noticably and it is usually wise to get them a touch tight rather than a touch loose, as you almost always end up with saggy bum syndrome otherwise.
I don't know how much these jeans stretch, but Dooz seems to know what she's talking about. Wear the tighter ones round the house with the labels on for a bit, see how they go.
However, it does depend exactly how tight they are I think. For the record, whenever i buy clothes to wear 'when i am thinner' they get eaten by moths in my wardrobe well before i can cram myself into them, but you might be more disciplined than i am!!
ETA Just seen your update- they do sounds rather uncomfortably tight. But 12 days is plenty long enough for the wear-and-stretch technique!
Thanks Bittersweet - yep, I know I've ranted on about it before - ended up taking the Topshop jeans back by the way!!
Wearing them round the house is what I shall do and go from there.
Why are some things just not simple??!? :D
