Question:
Returning stuff to Primark without receipt?
I bought a top from Primark about 3 weeks ago and when I got it home I realised there was a rip in the seam. It still has the tags on, but I have completely lost the receipt -can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know if they will still accept it as a return? And if so will I only get a credit note? It was only £8 so not the end of the world, but I've just bought loads of lovely new furniture so could do with a bit of extra cash for more lovely things :)
Hello :) I;m not sure if they would. Someone posted a few months ago that primark got funny when she wanted a refund as they had a reciept but no Primark carrier bag! Ridiculous!
Give it a go though, but they have know way of knowing that you actually bought it, for all they know you could have take it off the rails on the way to the service till! Unfortunately it does happen and they are wary of this.

Urgh crap! I might have a further search for the receipt - i always have about 20 different receipts in the bottom of each here - and I have about 20 heres so it's no wonder i can't find the bloody thing!
They'll let you exchange.I took back some stuff without a receipt that I bought MONTHS ago which I suddenly decided I didn't want so I tried my luck and they exchanged it all for me.
I was a bit dubious cos they apparently changed their exchange policy but it seems they're allowing you to exchange without a receipt agan now!:confused:
I'm sure my sister said the last time she went they wouldn't even let her do an exchange, they told her they'd changed their policy. Could you possibly sell them on Ebay?
