Question:
I'm so confused by 'sizes'
Like today, I was in TopShop and there was a really loud girl barging around and I would estimate her at about a size 24, she was as tall as me (5ft 10) if not slightly taller and she took one of those little consession dresses into the changing room, the cotton mini ones that are brightly coloured patterned fabric with short puffed sleeves and an elasticated waist. Now as mean as this sounds, I can't imagine she could fit one arm in it, I certainly wouldn't dare try one on and yet she bought it. I heard her telling her friend she was going to wear denim hotpants under it because it was a bit short. I just don't understand
I often hear people say they are a certain size and find it really confusing, and not just people who I would think where bigger saying they are smaller, also girls who look really petite saying that they are a 12 or 14 when I would have estimated them at a 8
So I had a look at this website and clicked on a few models. Now is it me, or does Dora (red hair, top right) look bigger than most of the others even though her dress size is 12 and most of the others are a 14 plus?http://www.hughesmodels12plus.co.uk
Maybe its just me but I often find myself thinking 'are you sure' when people tell me what size they are! :cmeek:
Which webite was that? :)

Just had a look now, I wouldn't have put Rebecca at a size 12 or Amy at a size 16
its there lovely.
There's no way Dora can be a 12 if she's a 38 inch bust, I'm a 14 and my bust is a 36d , and for somebody who is tall and should be able to carry off a larger size, she still looks 'large' if you nkow what I mean?
Hehe, I find this ALL the time, I am sure I am the only person who tells the truth about their size, I am a size 18, I have friends who are bigger than me who tell me they are a size 16 and I know thats not true  .
I dont get any of it either, I am not ashamed of it, and I just dont get why people cant be honest, Ive also been in changing room queues (this happened only last week) and the girl in front of me who must have been a 22/24 was going into the changing rooms with an armful of size 14's
