Question:
Lovely dress, shame about my legs....
I’ve just bought a lovely dress/tunic thing in H&M (I only went out to get a sandwich…. ).
It’s black with a white circular type pattern on it, puffy elbow length sleeves, with a lovely tie bit that goes round to form an empire line, and it’s made out of a nice heavy satin-y type material. The good thing is that it comes down to about my knees so I thought “lovely! I can get away with wearing it as a dress rather than over jeans”. Thing is, I am now wondering what on earth I’m going to wear on my legs and feet with it.
I’m about to start a new job which is quite important, but I don’t want to go down the suit route (can get away with it being in PR I reckon!). Rather wear funky, yet stylish, clothes and I reckon this dress would be great if I could get the perfect legwear!
What do you think? I wondered about super thick black tights with maybe some wedgy black courts. Or maybe just black tights with black knee length boots??

Either of your options sounds good to me but I reckon the shoes would be better than boots.
New Look have fantastic stacked wedges at the moment that would be great with your dress :)
Is there a reason you wouldn't wear a stiletto? I think the dress would look glorious with some thick black tights (60 dens, M&S do the best ones) and round toe heeled courts.
What PR do/will you do, if you don't mind me asking? :)
I bought a dress quite similar to this a couple of weeks ago and wore it as hack suggested with the thick tights and heeled round toe courts, got lots of compliments on the outfit so personally I think it's a good option now! :)
Also, I saw quite a few people wearing that kind of dress out on the town teamed with leggings and heels. Looked quite nice.
is it this dress from me style diary but in black and white and not green and white (and without the belt obviously) I saw the black version today and was tempted, but as I already have the green version I thought it best not to. With I had got it now but oh well.
