Do you think tunics will suffer the same fate as gypsy skirts?
Question:

Do you think tunics will suffer the same fate as gypsy skirts?
  Hello all,

Title says it all. I was just thinking about the amount of tunic tops/dresses that i've bought this season, and how maybe i should cut down on my spending in such items, incase they rapidly go 'out of fashion' (i hate that phrase!). Of course, i guess if you think that way then you wouldnt buy anything...but i was just wondering what you all thought. I dont know if i've got my point across properly but hopefully you know what i mean

I think they already have. Well, the 60's print and flowery ones anyway. All the chavs are wearing them around here with skinny jeans and polo necks underneath with those fake nomad Uggs and the obligatory huge plastic beads. Shame really.
I went to Manchester yesterday and every single shop had the same stock in, there just isn't anything else to buy at the moment :cmdunno:

You are right Blonde, it is a shame. The thing is i do really really love this style, but it's getting a bit old when you go out and see about 100 girls in the same outfit as you :cmdunno:

I'm staying away from the big prints and typical tunic shape personally. They dont really suit me and i'm a little sick of the sight of them!

I don't think they will be the exact same as gypsy skirts as you can them in so many different colours and styles - basically tunics are just long tops arn't they whilst gypsy skirts were pretty much the same thing, whatever shop you went into.
It's like anything, it all starts off on the runway, goes down the chain and ends up on a market stall
