Question:
Boots and short-shorts - advice pretty purlease!
If I can get away with it, I'm trying my hardest not to buy yet another pair of black boots...
I've got these - (they're actually 'two way' - you can wear them over the knee or fold down below the knee). Would they look ok worn below the knee with black short shorts and opaques? The photo on the site makes them look a little more elaborate and detailed than they are IRL - they're actually quite 'subtle' and the bow doesn't stand out as much. Here they are:

Or would I be better with some black flats - like these but in black:

I've seen these Faith ones instore in black but they're not on the site - hmm?
Anyway, opinions please! Help me save some money where possible! :D
Hello!
My twopennorth about wearing short-shorts, or indeed short skirts with boots is this.
Go for flat and long, or high-heeled short boots (ankle length/shoeboots) but don't wear high heeled long boots.
It's a bit like the short skirts and cleavage rule - those long, stiletto boots look quite try-hard-sexy IMHO and I'm not keen. If you want to wear long boots, chunky makes a nice contrast. Those second ones you posted would be nice. :)
I think short boots look "right" too because you're breaking up the line of the leg and therefore not trying so hard to be sexy, if you see what I mean.
The only times I'll wear shorts with boots is with flat calf length slouchy boots, otherwise I think they look rather tarty with full on knee high boots, especially if they are heeled.
Hmm, well the heels aren't that high - they're about 2 inches - any higher and I wouldn't think about wearing them because I know you have to be quite careful so as not to look tarty. Have just been looking on ASOS and found this pic which I think looks rather nice:

Am trying my hardest not to have to buy another pair of boots - am running out of space! :D
Anyone else - there I go again, killing my own thread! :cmdunno:
